“Victoria’s Backyard” Tour: Heritage James Bay to coastal Beacon Hill Park

  • Join me for a time-travelling journey through some of old Victoria’s most beautiful heritage areas, including the downtown park, Beacon Hill, right on Victoria’s coastline.

With charming houses, gardens, and seaside views as our backdrop, I’ll regale you with stories of Victoria’s history, all the way back to the fur-trading days.

    Duration: 1.5 hours

  • The cost is $90 CAD per person, plus taxes. 2 passengers required to book this tour.

Canada’s Oldest Chinatown Tour

  • Join me for a storytelling tour of Canada’s oldest—North America’s second-oldest!—Chinatown, right here in Victoria. We’ll pass shops that have been around for over a hundred years, taking note of secret narrow alleyways and historic, (allegedly) haunted buildings that lend this quarter its unique character.

    Duration: 1.5 hours

  • The cost is $90 CAD per person, plus taxes. 2 passengers required to book this tour.

City of Victoria “Sample Platter”

  • Starting with the residential heritage houses of James Bay—including the Emily Carr house, once lived in by one of Canada’s most beloved painters!—this tour also takes in the famous gardens of Beacon Hill Park, the Royal Gardens at Government House, Craigdarroch Castle, and the Inner Harbour area with its expansive Parliamentary buildings and legendary Empress Hotel. As we travel, I’ll tell you some of this city’s best stories, both historic and contemporary. And of course there’ll be plenty of opportunities to take photos!

    Duration: 3.5 hours

  • The cost is $210 CAD per person, plus taxes. 2 passengers required to book this tour.

The Twin Castle Tour: Craigdarroch Castle and Government House

  • Take a trip off the beaten path to two of the most majestic estates in the City of Victoria, starting with the official residence of the Lieutenant-Governor, which also plays host to manicured rose gardens and stunning views of the Olympic Peninsula. Then we’ll head up to Craigdarroch Castle, the bizarrely opulent pet project of an eccentric millonaire in the 19th century.

Flowers, historic scandals, this tour has everything! Includes a walking tour in the castle itself (if open).

    Duration: 2.5 hours

  • The cost is $190 CAD per person, plus taxes. 2 passengers required to book this tour.

Bon Victoriage! Custom Tour: See the city through the eyes of its locals

  • Join me on a custom tour inspired by some of the journeys my team and I took with community members around this city we call home. You’ll see familiar places and-subject to availability of storytellers-maybe even some familiar faces!

    Duration: 2.5 hours

  • The cost is $205 CAD per person, plus taxes. 2 passengers required to book this tour.

The Parking Lots of Victoria: a fun and bizarre way to experience this city

  • Although it originally started as a joke, this quirky alternative tour has quickly become a seriously fun way to explore the city. Going from one parking lot to another, we catch glimpses of historic ravines, floating neighbourhoods, Canada’s second longest mural, and much, much more. As it turns out, parking lots can be very interesting indeed!

    Duration: 1.5 to 3 hours

  • The cost is $90-180 CAD per person (depending on length), plus taxes. 2 passengers required to book this tour.
