When the COVID-19 pandemic effectively shut down the world, I was faced with a situation where I could no longer travel, yet I found that using new media allowed me to report more in-depth with a wider range of sources around the world than I previously had access to.
During this talk (and afterwards for my part of an academic book titled COVID-19 Pandemic, Crisis Responses and the Changing World), I shared my experiences and predictions for how new technologies could change journalism in a post-pandemic world.

Sadly, no video exists. This was a live performance of my electro-industrial band “The Understate” at a small Austrian festival called Temp back in 2009, and I think it went pretty well. I’m the angry yelling person.
